In a move no one was predicting, Kodak Alaris (a separate business that handles Kodak’s consumer film sales) has announced a new non-waterproof disposable camera without flash. This camera is already retailing on Amazon UK for £7.79.

The camera features 39 frames of ISO 800 Kodak colour film, with a fixed focus lens capable of focusing from 1 meter to infinity. Andrew Church of Kodak Alaris said “The Kodak Daylight Single Use Camera ISO 800 offers a competitive price and is the perfect match for any summer event or summer holiday spent on the beach”.

The camera has been announced for Europe only, thus far, and is already available online, but nothing has been announced yet regarding a worldwide release.

KODAK ALARIS announces Daylight Single Use Camera with 800 ISO Film

Single-use cameras are great for any occasions such as parties, weddings or festivals. They can take great shots and capture the most precious moments that are often missed. Besides, they are easy to use, light and portable as well as fun to play with – without any risk of damaging an expensive camera. Even for seasoned photographers, they offer a rather simple way of photography – but with many creative experiences along the way.

Kodak Alaris is launching a high quality Daylight Single Use Camera with 800 ISO Film. ISO 800 makes it ideal for any outdoor conditions with low and high light levels. It helps improve the quality of the captured image by reducing the effects of subject movement or camera shake. The Daylight Camera comes with a high-quality lens with a focal length of 1 meter to infinity and it impresses with 39 exposures per camera. “The Kodak Daylight Single Use Camera ISO 800 offers a competitive price and is the perfect match for any summer event or summer holiday spent on the beach”, explained Andrew Church, P&OS and Film Capture Product Manager EAMER of Kodak Alaris.
